Title: Some nano-micro structures for slow lights and transmission enhancement

Abstract:

Slow light waveguides based on left-handed media and dielectric photonic crystals of backward waves will be discussed. We will also discuss the enhanced extraordinary transmission of light through a metallic nano slit by utilizing some dielectric photonic crystal slow light waveguides or a nano cavity antenna.
